Where do I start with you? This is kinda overwhelming
Great question, don't fret!
Before we perform any examination, each prospective patient will have a consultation with the doctor.
The reason for this is to determine if you are a good fit for our office as well as if we are a good fit for you and the results that you want to achieve. Remember, in our office, a consultation is a conversation, NOT a commitment.
What happens after our no-obligation call?
You decide...
After the consultation, a prospective patient may elect to proceed to our Neuro-structural Correction Examination.
The examination may also be scheduled for a later time if you so choose. As always, the decision is yours and there will never be any pressure! The Neuro-structural Correction Examination is comprehensive and that means you should safely plan on allotting no less than one hour of your time.
What does the Neuro-structural correction exam consist of?
Great question!
Here is what will happen if you CHOOSE to move forward with an exam:
- Complete series of Neuro-structural Radiography (X-rays) with Specialized Analysis
- Any necessary Orthopedic and Neurologic tests
- Posture Assessment
- Any necessary Range of Motion Analysis
- Segmental Thermographic Scan with Report
- Electromyography Scan with Report
- Heart Rate Variability
The Neuro-structural Correction Examination is designed to not only detect Neuro-structural Shifts but also gives us a complete understanding of the underlying cause of your condition.
We will review the results of you Neuro-structural Correction Examination and carefully explain everything we plan to do for you in our office.
After your examination, you will be scheduled for a conference where we will explain our findings, present a customized Initial Phase of Care, and an explanation of how our office works if you should decide to become a practice member.
After your Patient Recommendation Conference, you will receive your first Neuro-structural Correction. You will be briefed on office and financial procedure and given any post-correction recommendations. Someone from our office will call within 24 hours after your first correction just to be sure all your questions have been answered.
No pressure, the decision is all yours.
What will NOT happen at your consultation:
Trust us, we understand!
What will not happen:
- Hard sales
- Gimmicks or tactics to get you to commit to our care
- A 2 for 1 deal on care packages
- A free set of steak knives
What are your treatment options?
We like to give you options that best suit YOU
Just like there is more than one way to cook an egg, there are many ways to treat almost any condition. It is NOT our intent to provide you with an opinion of all the various options you have available. We simply want to make you aware that we are not your only option.
A common first step for many people who are in pain is over-the-counter medications followed by prescription medications. From there, if that doesn’t work out, they will typically seek the help of a physical therapist. Most PTs will give you a series of exercises to perform in their office or at home and then send you on your way. The next step may be injections at the site of pain or nerve blocks to help deaden the nerves and control inflammation. Finally, many people find their way to surgical interventions.
Our solution at Spoelstra Family Chiropractic is to focus on Neuro-structural Shifts of the spine and pelvis.
We do this by utilizing multiple specific adjusting techniques and instruments combined with specific neuro-structural rehabilitation.
We will correct structural shifts of the spine that create pressure and stress on the tendons, muscles, and ligaments of the spine.
This allows nerve pressure to be relieved.
As a result, many Secondary Conditions will improve.
If myself or my child start chiropractic care, does that mean we have to keep coming forever?
If myself or my child start chiropractic care, does that mean we have to keep coming forever?
Following our recommendations for corrective care, we perform a re-examination to evaluate progress and offer appropriate next steps in someone’s health journey. Most people in our office choose to continue with some kind of neurological and nervous system support with chiropractic care such as a protective care or maintenance care plan. This is usually a less frequent plan of up to 1x a week. And for kids we HIGHLY recommend continuing to support their brain and body during development! This is a unique time in their life where support now can make a positive difference on their future and their entire life!
